The Problem

My friends and I have been in software development for a while and realized that using paper business cards isn't sustainable.

The Problem

So we decided to create a product where you can put as many information as you want on your business card in an eco-friendly way.

Yet, these were just assumptions that we had and we needed to validate them in order to create a product people need.

the validation

To find out if there are people who have similar concerns or perceptions as us, I prepared a series of questions and conducted interviews with people who use paper business cards.

The aim was to understand what their expectations of a business card are and what kind of difficulties they face when using one.

the problem with paper cards

Users need to print new business cards everytime they get a promotion or a title change.

Users can’t add any other services that they provide on a paper card.

Creating a professional-looking business card takes too much effort.

Paper cards are damaging to earth.

what users actually want

Reducing the amount of the money they spend every year on creating & printing new business cards.

Measuring the ROI that they make from business cards.

Promoting the products / services that they produce.

An Eco-friendly solution.

The User Personas

As a result of these interviews I was able to identify the problems people have with using paper business cards, as well as their motivations and expectations when using business cards.

According to these results, there were 3 personas who wanted a better solution for paper business cards.

The Journey

After identifying the personas, I developed two distinct journey maps, incorporating empathy maps to gain deeper insights. By comparing the traditional business card journey vs. vibl journey, I aimed to better understand and enhance their user experience.

Competitor Analysis

I conducted a competitor analysis to gain insights into what our competitors offer, as well as to identify their strengths and weaknesses.

Go with the Flow

Before getting into the low fidelity wireframes first I came up with a possible user flow for vibl. It consist of 4 sections: Register - Login - Order - Profile Details.

End Results

Here is what we created in the end. 2 different pins and cards where you can match your vibl profile with + bunch of freemium features.
